John Hancock will take on some of that burden. We’ll accept fiduciary responsibility for certain administrative tasks—at no extra charge—through our select delegated 3(16) services offering.1

- Preparing, signing, and filing Form 5500
- Validating, approving, and processing qualified domestic relations orders (QDROs)
- Validating eligibility for and approving hardship withdrawals, residential loans, partial and lump-sum distributions, periodic payments, general purpose loans, rollovers, and 59½ withdrawals

Directed trustee services
We can provide directed trustee services through John Hancock Trust Company LLC. As directed trustee and custodian, the trust company invests plan assets at the direction of the plan’s named fiduciary(ies) or participants and provides safekeeping of the plan’s assets, along with other administrative trust services as described in the trust agreement.

Selecting and monitoring plan investments
We also offer optional investment management services through Morningstar Portfolio Complete2 and Wilshire ERISA 3(21)3 or 3(38),4 which can help you prudently select and monitor the plan’s investment options.
