Viewpoints by Rebecca Kaplan, at John Hancock Retirement

In this role, Rebecca is a dedicated resource for defined contribution plan clients and has overall responsibility within John Hancock Retirement Plan Services to help clients stay in compliance with ERISA and the Internal Revenue Code. In addition, she helps clients design retirement programs that meet their needs and those of their employees. Rebecca joined John Hancock in 2015, and has worked in the industry since 2008. She began her ERISA career as a Benefits Advisor at the U.S. Department of Labor, assisting employers and participants with informal dispute resolution of employee benefit issues and has been a frequent speaker at national and regional conferences/seminars. Rebecca earned a B.A. from Brandeis University, an M.A. from Tufts University, and a J.D. from Boston College Law School. She is a licensed attorney in the State of Massachusetts, and a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association.
